Jonell McLain
“I’ve been a cowgirl, a debutante, a cheerleader, a sorority girl, an activist, a feminist, a mentor, and an idealist,” Jonell says, now adding “social experimenter” to her list for her role in the
Women of Jewelia project. The amazing story of how she shared a diamond necklace with other women inspired the book
The Necklace: Thirteen Women and the Experiment that Transformed Their Lives by Cheryl Jarvis. Currently a real estate broker in Ventura, Jonell has been involved in non-profits and fundraising over the last 40 years.
Patti Channer
Patti Channer, one of the thirteen women who form the
Women of Jewelia project, lives in Ventura, CA, and is the CFO of a pediatric dental practice. In describing her part in the Women of Jewelia project, she says: “
The Necklace came into my life when I was thinking of how I could make a difference in the community where I live. It was the perfect opportunity for me to get involved and express my commitment to a world that works for everyone.”
The Necklace is available at
amazon.com and bookstores.
